How to Connect PC to HDMI TV

How to Connect PC to HDMI TV

Hdmi

You can enjoy your favorite television shows and movies over a high speed broadband connection on your computer. All you need to pay is the fixed monthly rental for unlimited usage. However, the experience would be further enjoyable if you can view these entertainment shows on a big screen. In order to do this, you need connect your computer to an HDMI.

In order to set up, ensure that your computer is properly shut down. Then turn around the monitor and locate the wire that goes from the monitor to the CPU cabinet. You would observe that this wire would have been connected to the video output. This could be 29-pin port or a 15-pin port depending on your PC. In some computers, you may find a HDMI port by default. There would also be an empty VGA or DVI port.

If your computer has a HDMI port, you can connect one end of the HDMI wire to the respective port and the other end of the wire to the TV. If your computer has just one video output port, it is advisable to purchase a video card with HDMI or DVI output and install it on your computer. However, if your output port is a DVI port, you can purchase a converter cable for DVI to HDMI and then connect it to the TV.

If you do not have HDMI port you may also need an additional chord to connect the sound card of your PC to the HDMI adapter in order to carry both video and audio signals.

Authorized Dealers - What is an Authorized Dealer?

Authorized Dealers - What is an Authorized Dealer?

Hdmi

A lot of companies sell themselves on the fact that they are an authorized dealer of the products they sell. But what is an authorized dealer exactly? Why does it matter? And does it really benefit consumers to make sure they buy from one?

Short answer: Yes. It really does matter.

If things always worked out like we'd like them to, every item we purchased as consumers - like watches, headphones, TVs, toys, and computers - would work perfectly and without defects. They would function for as long as their normal useful life. There would be no glitches, crashes, or breaks. And we'd have no complaints.

But this is the real world.

And in reality, things don't always work as they should. Pieces break. They stop working. Or sometimes, we simply open a box and find a piece missing.

When any of these things happens, it's nice to know that we can call the manufacturer and have them make it right.

Herein lies the problem in dealing with an unauthorized seller; the manufacturer has no relationship with them or control over the products they sell. They may sell items with missing serial numbers. They may be selling damaged or used items. Or pawning off refurbished items as new.

Any, or all of these practices can void a manufacturer's warranty. Naturally, this is going to limit your chances of finding a resolution to whatever product issue you experience, especially if the unauthorized seller doesn't offer assistance either.

It's a frustrating, expensive, and unfortunate scenario that happens much more often than it should.

The bottom line? Do your research and when applicable, make your purchases from an authorized dealer. It's best way to protect your investment. These retailers are held to certain standards of practice and service that unauthorized companies are not. Plus, you can rest easy knowing that your item is covered by the manufacturer's full warranty, and that you'll have support after the sale is made.

Check with a company before you buy. And if the item you're buying is especially expensive or requires a significant level of support, check with the manufacturer for their list of dealers first.

VBR333 Review - A New 3D Blu-Ray Player From Vizio

VBR333 Review - A New 3D Blu-Ray Player From Vizio

Hdmi

Vizio has recently introduced two new 3D capable Blu-Ray Players, the VBR333 and the VBR334. They are identical players, with the same specifications. The only difference is the VBR334 comes with a HDMI cable and can only be purchased in retail clubs. The VBR333 is a Profile 2.0 player, supporting BD-Live features and Bonus View. Has high-definition playback on 3D Blu-Rays and Blu-Ray discs. With support for high-resolution audio formats. It comes equipped with integrated Wi-Fi, making access to Vizio Internet Apps very easy.

VIDEO QUALITY: Video connections for the VBR333 come in the form of a HDMI Output, Composite Video Outputs and Component Video Outputs. Unlike some 3D players, it only has one HDMI Output. You will have to bypass your Audio/Video receiver if it is not 3D capable. The HDMI connection will produce 1080p/24 video resolution for both 3D Blu-Ray and Blu-Ray discs. And of course it will upscale any standard DVD to high-definition levels.

AUDIO QUALITY: Audio connections are the HDMI Output, 2.0-ch Analog Outputs and Digital Audio Outputs - Optical and Coaxial. The player can handle decoding high-resolution Audio formats, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Or you have the option of sending these audio signals in their native bitstream form to an Audio/Video receiver to decode. This has to be accomplished through a HDMI connection, since the player lacks any multi-channel outputs.

While the VBR333 can handle 3D Blu-Ray discs, it also supports Blu-Ray, DVD, CD audio, MP3, PNG, JPEG and WMA. The USB Port can be used to playback music and view photos. It has an integrated wireless 802.11n to connect to the internet. Making access to BD-Live (a USB device is required for storing BD-Live content), firmware updates and online streaming much more convenient. The Vizio Internet Apps includes Vudu, Netflix, Pandora, Twitter, Flickr and many more online services.

THE PROS: The Vizio VBR333 is capable of 1080p/24 playback on Blu-Ray Discs. Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio high-resolution formats can be decoded internally or transferred in their native bitstream form via a HDMI cable to be decoded externally. The player supports 3D playback, BD-Live and Bonus View, Vizio Internet Apps and Wi-Fi.

THE CONS: Only has one HDMI output, can not transfer two separate signal to your 3D TV and A/V receiver. No multi-channel analog outputs or internally memory to store downloaded content. A USB memory device is required for the BD-Live function. The player is also lacking any DLNA capability.

THE FINAL WORD: The Vizio VBR333 is one of the best deals around if you are looking for a player with 3D capability and integrated Wi-Fi. It provides solid 1080p video resolution playback on Blu-Ray Discs, with high-resolution audio formats. While not loaded with extra features, you can access online streaming services such as Netflix, VUDU Apps, Pandora, Flickr and Twitter. If you are looking for a player to go with your new 3D TV, the VBR333 is worth checking out. -- Price you should look for when purchasing -- 0.00
