What is HDMI Version 1.4?: HDMI 1.4 increases the maximum resolution to 4K × 2K (3840×2160p at 24Hz/25Hz/30Hz and 4096×2160p at 24Hz, which is a resolution used with digital theaters); an HDMI Ethernet Channel, which allows for a 100 Mb/s Ethernet connection between the two HDMI connected devices; and introduces an Audio Return Channel, 3D Over HDMI, a new Micro HDMI Connector, expanded support for color spaces, and an Automotive Connection System. HDMI 1.4 requires that 3D displays support the frame packing 3D structure at either 720p50 and 1080p24 or 720p60 and 1080p24. High Speed HDMI 1.3 cables can support all HDMI 1.4 features except for the HDMI Ethernet Channel.

How to connect your computer to a TV

In this article there are several ways you can connect your desktop, laptop or netbook for TV and the reasons you want to do this might look like.

Many of us have a computer at home. And, most of us have a TV in the living room. For most of us, the TV in the living room much larger than the screen we use for our computers. Many people believe this and ask, "'can connect the computer to the TV?"

Apartwant from the vastness of the TV, there are also many other reasons that people on their computers, can connect their TVs. For example, to save people hours almost every day all their photos on their PC. So what to do if you want a room full of people, show your photos? After all, what if you want to share your vacation videos with all the people gathered in your living room?

You get the picture? They have a lot of data in the form of music,Movies, photos, and more, it would be better on the LCD TV in the living room as a monitor for your computer is short can be viewed.

Then you can connect to your desktop or laptop computer to the TV again to get all this? You bet, and it is not so difficult. There are four ways to do this.

The first method is the old way, and I would not recommend it. This procedure involves connecting an S-video cable from your computer toTelevision. Old computers and old televisions often had an S-video on it and that was the only way to connect the two. The output audio and video on TV was not optimal. This lack of solution is no longer available for the majority of people still are not as S-Video connectors as standard.

The method that will almost certainly work for all is a VGA male to VGA connector. The reason is that this work is that almost all computers and LCD televisions all have this type of connection.This is the connection that I currently use and the picture is fantastic. For audio to your TV or stereo, just a mini-stereo jack to two RCA stereo cables.

The last two settings are even better. DVI and HDMI. These are the best mechanisms for digital transmission. However, many people have a problem with this, because their computer or LCD TV is one of the two compounds. Many computers are equipped with DVI but not HDMI. Almost all of the best LCD TVs have HDMI, butDVI sometimes does not.

Not to worry. If your computer has DVI, but the LCD TV is not, you can purchase a DVI-HDMI converter to connect your computer to your TV. You still need the audio as DVI does not carry the audio carried out separately.

Their optimal combination of them all is HDMI HDMI, but this is only possible if both computers have LCD and HDMI. Make sure it is from people who try to sell you an expensive HDMI cables affected. They can be had for about $ 10so do not pay.

In short, it closes the desktop, laptop or netbook to an LCD TV is quite impressive, because you look and listen, allowing all my media on the big screen or your stereo system. I totally recommend it!
